Korean Natural Farming Workshop in June
A Korean Natural Farming/Indigenous Microorganism Workshop will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28 from 9am-4pm, at Permaculture Kaua`i in Moloa`a. To reserve your seat and for directions, call workshop instructor Ray Maki at (808) 634-5412. . Based on an ancient system for producing every farm input necessary, Korean Natural Farming techniques improve your soil’s physical, chemical, and biological properties, resulting in increased resistance to environmental stress, more nutrient dense food produced, and vigorous organic growth. This is a “beyond organic” approach to nurturing the `aina. The two day training session will demonstrate and offer detailed instruction for producing the natural farming inputs at the commercial and residential farming scale. Regenerations is proud to partner with Permaculture Kaua`i, the County of Kaua`i, and the Hawai`i Farmers Union United in facilitating this workshop. The County has also provided funding for research into the ability of Korean Natural Farming to bioremediate persistent pesticides and herbicide contamination in Kaua`i soils. This research is being conducted this summer and we are hopeful to see positive results…stay tuned!
